Selecting a walk
For an overview of all the walks you can click here. To select your walk look in the table on the e-Walks page. You can select your walk based on distance or start location and scroll through the walks pages list by clicking on the arrows '<<' or '>>' at the bottom of the table.
You can sort the table by clicking on the header row. Clicking on the 'Number' header you sort the walks out by number. Clicking on the 'Start Location and View Map' header you sort the walks alphabetically. Clicking on 'Miles' you sort the walks out by distance. You can view and print maps with your selected track to help you when you walk.
On the e-Walks page you can click on the Start Location link in the table to view the map and the marked out track.
You can print out the map with the track. This is explained in the How to... page
You will need:
- A computer
- A handheld GPS
- A cable to connect your GPS to your computer
- A printer if you want to print a map of your walk
You will need a programme that will transfer the .gpx file into your GPS. There are free programmes available such as easyGPS or Garmin's BaseCamp. See the Links page for further details.
