We will travel by car to Herrings Green Farm, Cotton End Road, Wilstead, Beds, MK45 3DT for arrival at 10:30, where we will meet in the cafe for tea/coffee and a slice of cake.
Herrings Green is the home to one of the largest collections of birds of prey in the UK. There are many different species of owls, hawks, eagles, falcons and kites and there also storks and pelicans. In addition to the birds there are also farm animals.
We will have a guided tour of the centre, a flying display and meet and handle some of the birds, followed by having a go at flying a few different species of bird. You will then have free time to look at all the birds, and farm animals, at your leisure and have an optional lunch in the cafe. The cafe offers a limited menu of beverages, sandwiches, rolls and cakes.
The cost is £15.50 per person to include the experience and refreshments on arrival.
