Next year we are going to return to Suffolk to stay in the Thorpeness Golf Club and Hotel, Lakeside Avenue, Thorpeness, Suffolk, IP16 4NH. We stayed there in 2025 and found the location, accommodation, hotel service and menu choice excellent.

Thorpeness is an attractive and unique seaside village situated near Aldeburgh in East Suffolk. It is famous for the House in the Clouds and the Meare which is a large shallow boating lake in the heart of the village.

As usual there will be a choice of walks. Two on Monday, three each day on Tuesday to Thursday and one on Friday. The success of the holiday relies on volunteers to lead, and priority will be given to those who at the time of booking volunteer to lead a walk. We have reserved accommodation for 45 guests.

The price per person has only gone up by £15 per person from when we stayed in 2025! The price includes a three course evening meal, bed and full English breakfast.
