Welcome to our e-Walks. The North Herts Ramblers Group introduced e-Walks (https://ewalks.nhrg.org.uk/) to enhance the walks for our members who want to use handheld GPS devices and walk around our area. The e-Walks are derived from tracks recorded when our NHRG Leaders walked on previous walks from our programme.
You do not need to have a GPS to use e-Walks. All walks can easily be printed with the track clearly marked, so anyone that can read an OS map can follow and enjoy the walk.
You can select a walk using two different ways.
- e-Walks Overview Map - Zoom into an area and click the markers to list walks from that point
- e-Walks List - Scan through the long list of walks in the table, or sort the table by clicking at the column headings
With either method you can click on the walk details and you will see the track overlayed on a map. You can select an OS map, an aerial map or an OpenStreetMap to overlay your track. You can download the .gpx track and print the map. For more detailed instructions please look at the FAQs.
If you wish to share with us .gpx track data from a walk you have completed when leading an NHRG walk please submit the form below attaching your .gpx file.
Some notable walk numbers: STOOP: 100, HOOP: 180, St Albans Circle: 36, The Howard Way: 315, WGC Centinary Walk: 330
