North Hertfordshire Ramblers

This years Christmas walk and lunch will start from the church opposite The Five Bells Pub, Henlow, Beds, SG16 6AE (map). Please do not park in the pub car park. There are plenty of roadways opposite the church for parking. The walk will be 5.2 miles and we will leave promptly at 10:00 am so that we are back in time to change and get drinks in the pub before our meal at 1:00pm. The meal is £16.95 for 2 courses or £23.75 for 3 courses followed by tea or coffee and mince pies.

Soup of the day with a chunk of baguette
Kiln roasted salmon and dill tart (GF) on a bed of dressed salad
Chicken liver and cranberry pate with toast and dressed salad leaves
Prawn cocktail served on a bed of mixed leaves with seafood sauce

Main Courses (all served with roast and boiled potatoes and seasonal vegetables)

Traditional turkey roast dinner with stuffing and sausage wrapped with bacon
Roast sirloin of beef with Yorkshire pudding
Black and blue chicken....chicken slices in a blue cheese cream sauce
Fish crumble .....white fish, salmon and smoked haddock in a creamy cheese sauce with cheese and parsley crumble topping
Pork belly with apple and sage sauce
Vegetarian dish ......choose from a selection on the day

Desserts

Christmas pudding and brandy sauce
Malted milk and Irish cream torte with cream
Lemon meringue roulade with cream
Apple and blackberry crumble (GF) with custard
