Sunday 26 May – Short Walk, Lunch In The Teacake Café And A Visit To Docwra Manor Gardens
Meet in the Shepreth Village Hall, 2 Station Road, SG8 6PZ car park at 10.00 am for a 5.5 mile circular walk through two varied nature reserves and two pretty villages. On our return we will visit The Teacake Café for lunch. The menu will be emailed to those attending. There will be a selection of sandwiches, salads, and filled jacket potatoes. Prices from £4.25 to £5.50. Or you may prefer a cream tea platter which comprises of a selection of finger sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream and a drink for £10.50.
At 2 pm we will visit Docwra Manor garden. Entry fee £5. The garden covers 2.5 acres of land and there are a number of separate gardens including for example a paved garden, walled garden, wild garden, kitchen lawn, orchard and a variety of interesting outbuildings and courtyards to explore.
